Phyllis Western, 72, of Sarazen St., died on Sunday Nov. 5, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.  She was born In Troy, NY on Sept. 7, 1945 and was the beloved daughter of Hester M. Hatlee Male of Clifton Park and the late Charles J. Male.  She was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, Albany Medical Center’s School of Nursing, and received her BSN from William Carey College and her MPH from Tulane University; certified in Healthcare Quality.  She had a lengthy career in Hospital and Nursing Administration. She retired from Glens Falls Hospital in 2010.  Before this, Phyllis had been the Nursing Administrator for Palisades Medical Center in Palisades, NJ.  She was a longtime member of Amity Reformed Church in Vischer Ferry, NY.  Phyllis enjoyed to travel and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her mother Hester, she is the devoted sister of Charles L. Male of Clifton Park, NY; beloved friend of Susan and Guy Howard of Rexford, NY, Linda Rubino of New Orleans, Louisiana; niece of Hazel Dyer of Florida and the late Faye Russo; cousin of Norma Davey of Jonesville, NY, Hilarie Hatlee of Saratoga Springs, NY, Jeanne Peck of Ballston Lake, NY, Susan Stec of Clifton Park, NY and, Carol Kardash of Virginia.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday Nov. 11, 2017 at Amity Reformed Church in Vischer Ferry at 11:00 am with Rev. John Hoeprich and Kelly Sanvidge officiating.

Interment will be private in Vischer Cemetery.
