Dear Karen, Paul, Elizabeth and Corky,
We are sad to hear the news of Aunt Rita's passing. Due to living in another part of the U.S., John, our children and I missed out on many years of family get-togethers, but have been blessed to see her in recent years after moving back east. I fondly remember her bright smile and laughter at family events, particularly as hostess of the annual Memorial Day picnic. I remember her sitting in the shade, wearing her sunglasses and sun visor, watching us "kids" play whiffle ball, baseball, and volleyball, and I remember her playing cards with "the adults". Her smile and laughter will always linger in our hearts. I remember sleepovers at your house and she made us popcorn, and a few times when she "chaperoned" us at Cossayuna Lake (great times!!!). I hope all these treasured memories bring solace and a smile to you in this time of grief.
With our condolences and love to you all, Marie and John
