Tom Huber Obituary

Thomas Michael Huber Sr., 81, of Mechanicville, NY, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025.

He was born on February 10, 1943, in Buffalo, NY, the son of Aloysius and Gertrude.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Phyllis Huber; his sons, Thomas (Tara) and John (Rachel); and his much-loved grandchildren Jake, Delany, Luke, and Theodore. Siblings include Clare Hans (deceased), Joseph and Donald.

Thomas served Honorably in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. After his service, Thomas graduated from Union College with a degree in Computer Science. He worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles in IT until retirement.

Thomas was an avid volunteer, serving his community as a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and ushering at Corpus Christi Church, driving cancer patients to appointments, and coaching golf at Saratoga Central Catholic High School.

Second only to his love of family was his passion for the Buffalo Bills. He was a dedicated husband and father, a generous neighbor, and a great friend and he will be missed tremendously. He was a friend of Bill W.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Albany Medical Center staff for the compassion, guidance, and tremendous care.

Relatives and friends are invited on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. to the Visitation and at 11a.m. to the Mass of Christian Burial for Tom all at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 US-9 Round Lake, NY 12151.

Interment with full military honors will follow at 1 p.m. in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
