Betty Carol Steigle Lucas, 85, of Halfmoon passed away at home on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Born in Oak Hill, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Steigle and Pauline Webster Handy. Betty was formerly a resident of the Wallingford, Meriden & Trumbull, CT areas as well as for 23 years in North Fort Myers, FL.

Betty Carol was affectionately known as “Betty-Boop”. She loved the beaches and going to the pool, the penny arcade as well as shuffleboard.

She had served as a Court Stenographer in the Connecticut Court System as well as in the Law industry in CT, had also been a Realtor in the Halfmoon and Clifton Park area as well as with Gerard Realty in Schenectady.

Devoted mother of Christopher A. Lucas Ludovici and Pamela J. Lucas Ludovici, both of Halfmoon and the late, Vincent Raymond Lucas Ludovici, Lisa G. Civitello and Vance R. Lucas Ludovici, sister of the late Joanne Vass, Frances Service and Margaret, also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Brian Lucas.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and to the Funeral Service which begins at 11:30 a.m. all in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, New York 12065.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 1003 Loudon Rd., Cohoes, New York 12047, in memory of Betty Carol Lucas.
