Obituary of Leroy W. Salisbury

Leroy W. Salisbury, 45, of Troy, formerly of North Greenbush, entered into eternal life on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Louisville, KY, he is the son of Sandra L. Carr Salisbury and the late Kenneth Walter Salisbury and was educated at Columbia High School in East Greenbush.

Leroy had been employed at Oakwood Cemetery in Troy and had also been employed at Hannaford in Brunswick, worked as a handyman and landscaper and his skills and results each of those trades brought him much pride and joy.

Leroy loved fishing, coin collecting, antique items, and most all spending time with his family. He had a huge and caring heart.

Survivors include his mother Sandra L. Carr Salisbury, a son Jared (fiancé, Theresa Black) Salisbury, a grandson Elliot, brothers; Eric (Lisa) Salisbury, Neil (fiancé, Sarah Weloth) Salisbury, Mark (“Allen”) Noland and Kenneth Noland, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and to the Prayer and Reflections beginning at 4:00 p.m., both at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.

The Salisbury family wishes to offer their sincere appreciation to The Samaritan Hospital ICU for all of their care and candor.
