Obituary of Francis T. Sheehan, Jr.

Francis T. “Frank” Sheehan, Jr., 61, of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving daughter Brittany on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Francis T. and Ann T. Caulkins Sheehan, Sr. and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Frank has been employed at Hobby Lobby, Pathways Nursing Home, SJ Provincial House, American Tissue, Gardenway and Fredette Painting.

He loved the Dallas Cowboys, watching WWE, listening to Kid Rock, KISS and PYX 106 on the radio, late night ice cream treats, and time spent with his grandbabies.  

Frank was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3773 in Lansingburgh for over 25 years where he shared many memories with his daughter at their holiday celebrations and annual participation in the Uncle Sam parade.

Devoted father of Brittany N. (Matthew) Newland who is survived by her mother Cindy Searles Golden, cherished grandfather of Emerson and Lilith Newland, dear brother of Sharon Waterbury and Laurie Sheehan.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Monday, March 3, 2025 March 3,  2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and to the Funeral Service that day at 5:00 p.m. both at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182.
