Maureen was always so nice and happy when our paths crossed. I have a very nice memory of her and always enjoyed a hug whenever we saw each other. I wanted to express my sympathy to lynn and vincent during this time. May she rest in peace

Maureen and I shared the same homeroom at CCHS for 4 years. She was the happiest person, always smiling and laughing. I'm thrilled to read what a successfu like she had.

Maureen and l met when we were 11 and 12 years old! Yes she was one year younger! I can remember things we did together, always laughing , being silly, enjoying listening to Johnny Mathis LPs!
We cooked, did projects together, spent time at her Grandma’s on Warsaw Ave, sitting at the beautiful Sunday dinner table, enjoying her family and amazing food that was served! ❤️
Remembering all the little things keeps her forever close to me….our lives wove in and out , as we experienced our path ,
children, careers etc… but we NEVER lost the thread that bound us together…..
It was the very best of blessings when after her retirement, and after her last move to her beautiful home, that we were able to resume actually being together more often, talking on the phone, going to the occasional lunch and dinner to catch up and of course visiting her for tea and wonderful conversations….
No matter WHAT was going on, we made each other laugh out loud! And yes we had a glass of wine or two….
Maureen touched more lives that l could ever imagine, and l am BLESSED AND HONORED that l was among them…
For 70 years, l had a soulmate,a confidant, a listener, an advisor, a sister…..til we meet again, my sweet Maureen….

From our high school days dancing in your grandmother‘s basement to our last JHEMS girls trip October 2023, you have always been an important part of my life. Although we didn’t see each other that frequently because of the many miles between us, when we did we could always pick up right where we left off. Or we would chat on the phone way too long. We shared those significant moments in each others life. I will always be grateful for our enduring friendship. I will miss you dearly.❤️

Maureen was a second mom to my son, as her son Vince was a second son to me. Maureen was an amazing mom and teacher, although as much as my son thought of her as a second mom, he was more afraid of her than if me! She was one tough cookie and that's what made her the mom and teacher that she was. My thoughts, prayers and love are with the entire family.

Q: What 3 words best describe Maureen and why?
A: Beloved friend from way back in high school…I will cherish our moments together always. As bright as you were, we could still share some of the grandest , sillly, laughing episodes ever!
You were good for the heart and for the soul❤️. You named our group the JHEMS and so it shall always be!
Jan Lundin (the J in JHEMS)
