Beverly J. (McLaughlin) Downs, 85, of Clifton Park, peacefully entered into eternal life at Schenectady's Ellis Hospital on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Born in East Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Elizabeth F. (Maher) McLaughlin. Beverly graduated from Fitton Central High School, in East Boston, in 1958. She then continued her education at Boston's Hickox Secretarial School.

Beverly was the loving and beloved wife for 42 years to Frederick H. Downs, Ill, who passed in 2009.

Mrs. Downs had been employed at State Farm Insurance in Clifton Park, NY, retiring in 2000.

She was the mother to Kimberly A. Gawlak, Deborah J. Downs and Kevin F. Downs, sister of the late Joseph F. McLaughlin, Jr., and grandmother and loving "Nana" to her precious grandchildren, Charlie Downs Gawlak and Emily Rose Gawlak.

In keeping with Beverly's wishes, her burial, alongside her husband Frederick, will be held privately at the Jonesville Cemetery in Clifton Park.

She expressed that those desiring to make memorial contributions please do so to the American Lung Association, in memory of Beverly J. Downs.
