Betty J. Parent Murray, 97, of Ballston Lake, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025 at The Glendale Home in Glenville, NY.

Born in Ballston Spa, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lansing and Ann Hall Parent and was educated in the Burnt Hills schools.

Betty was the beloved wife to Pete Murray who passed away on March 8, 1989.

Mrs. Murray worked alongside her husband Pete at Northway Auto Exchange in Halfmoon and had previously been a General Electric Co. Telephone Operator in Schenectady.

Betty loved pets to include her two dogs that were by her side in the office at all times and were well known to everyone there. She enjoyed travelling.

Beloved mother of Michael H. (Sandra) Murray and Patti-Sue (Cheryl) Murray, grandmother of Michael C. Murray, Mindi Murray Baez, Kristee (Dan) Toleman and Patrick (Laura Greene) Schuttig, great grandmother of Eli Murray, Elizabeth “Libby” Murray, Michael C. Murray, Jr., Ryker Baez, Payton Toleman and Jaelynn Toleman, Jayse Schuttig and Stella Schuttig, step grandmother of Matthew Heekin and Erin (Gregory) Naumiec, step great grandmother of Amelia Naumiec, sister of Carol Thomas, half-sister of Gerald (Patti) Palmatier, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 for Calling Hours on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the following day, Wednesday for the Funeral Service which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be held in Charlton Pine Grove Cemetery, Charlton.
