In Jacks second year at LaSalle,the school started a brand new hockey team; so brand new they didn’t even have hockey jerseys, they played in football jerseys. With Jack as their captain they fought their way through the season and went on to win the state championship. The next year they lost by one goal in the championship game

As Siena did not have a hockey team , Jack played baseball and joined ROTC
After graduation he went to work for Borden in Menards for a year before reporting for duty in the military . It was during that year that we met and started dating but alas the time came for Jack to report to the 214 th artillery group at Fort Sill Oklahoma and I had to finish my last year of nursing we gwere married in December 1962.

A: Jack was a trusted colleague at Champion International. He was a professional in every way. I enjoyed working with him. Personally, he was a gentleman and a pleasure to be around. Thank you for your service to this great country. Rest easy Jack.
