Grace Wheeler Kwazneski, 99, of Halfmoon, beloved wife of the late Chas M. Kwazneski, passed away surrounded by her loving family at Home on July 18, 2025.

Born in Cohoes, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Green Wheeler and was a graduate of Cohoes High and Troy Business College.

Grace worked as a Medical Secretary in the Cohoes Hospital Business Office and later with Dr. Marrus and Dr. Posada.

Grace was an avid golfer having played until the age of 90 and was on the Founding Committee for the Swinging Misses Golf League, playing at Mill Road Latham and many other Gold Courses in the area. Grace and Charles travelled annually to the 290th Army Combat Engineers Reunion. Both were also instrumental in the Municipal Approvals and establishment of Shenendehowa Central School District.

Grace was a Life Member for 60 plus years in the Halfmoon Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Mohawk Post 1450. She was a member of Halfmoon Senior Citizens and Clifton Park Elks Ladies Auxiliary.

Grace was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Crescent, a former Officer of St. Mary’s Church Altar Rosary Society. She was a former Halfmoon Junior Girls Scout Leader.

She was a Devoted Mother to both Gayle Amberman and Charyl Clark of Halfmoon. Proud and cherished Grandmother “Nana” to Bradley (Krista) Capelli, Kenneth (Jessica) Clark and the late Scott Clark. Adored Great Grandmother, “GiGi” of Jackson Clark. Grace was sister to Anne Wheeler Mashuta, Latham and to the late Ellen Wheeler Myers. She is survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear friend Emile Schiro.

Calling hours on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9 Clifton Park, NY 12065. Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home with interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.
