George M. Lajeunesse Obituary

George M. Lajeunesse of Clifton Park, NY, passed away on August 17, 2025 at age 87.


 


Born on April 2, 1938 in Troy, NY, he was the youngest of twelve siblings.


 


He is survived by his three daughters; Sarah Lajeunesse, Sally Sambrook (Scott, deceased) and Laurie Hasso (Steve), he is also survived by his wife June Inez Simmons Lajeunesse of Clifton Park with whom he shared a pleasant relationship. He is survived by his grandchildren; William (also in the Navy) and Emily Sambrook and Scott and Alex Hasso; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also valued his friendship with Jeffrey Mantell.


 


He was a 1956 graduate of CCHS in Troy. He served in the Navy for six years. George retired from the BCI Division of the NYS Police after thirty-seven years of service.


 


For over forty years, he was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Crescent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Crescent, 86 Church Hill Rd., Waterford, NY 12188 on Wednesday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial with military honors at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871


 


In lieu of flowers, he requests you have a Mass said in honor of your own deceased loved ones.
