40 some years later and she still would call me Donna Do, whenever I ran into her. I will always appreciate how good she (and Warren) were to me.

I am so very sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing. I remember her and Warren well and I used to babysit Warren, Doug, Don and Kent more than 50 years ago. I lived on Brian Court. She was always so pretty and the nicest lady. I have fond memories of all of you.

When Riley told me Marilyn had passed, I wasn't upset, at least not then. She lived with a great deal of pain but as I have always known her to be, she endured, adapted. The moment I thought of her reunited with those she has missed for so long, that's when I broke down. Not due to sadness, I just said "There you go, Mare, you must be so happy to see them all!" Then all the memories started to flood my brain, like scenes from movie shorts .. standing on a chair at her sink as a child, "helping" to do the dishes, hearing her say she wished she had a little girl! Moving on to when I was a young woman with many questions.. three people I knew I could count on, Lil MacNaughton, Barb Caola, and Marilyn. Mare would start her story by saying, "Well you know, Jan..." bringing up something similar that happened to her .. and the story should always end with her laugh! That laugh I will hear whenever I need it!
I am so grateful to have such wonderful memories!

Marilyn was a loving person who we got to know over these past 35 years. We shared many good times in Florida as well as many good dinners in the Troy area. She raised a wonderful family and I am sure she is very proud of them all as we are so proud of her. Thank God for such s lovely person.

Some of my earliest childhood memories were spent at Marilyn and Warren's home. I remember it vividly. I loved them both and still do. Marilyn, always picture perfect, beautiful, and always smiling! She made me feel happy and cared for. She was fun and kind. Her home was welcoming and comfortable despite having four wild boys running around! I loved Christmas at the Fane's! Especially the two Christmas trees! My memories still make me feel warm when I think of her and always will. I love you, Marilyn, and always will. Rest so peacefully.
