Obituary of Mary Ann Fountain

Mary Ann Ray Fountain, 72, formerly of Petersburgh and Park Avenue in Cohoes, peacefully passed surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 10, 2025 at The Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.

Born and educated in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mae Rita Bellrose Ray and was the beloved wife of the late Darryl Fountain.

Mary Ann had been employed at The Eddy Heritage House in Troy and had previously been employed at The Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy.

She enjoyed spending time with family..and especially loved animals, specially her dog Shelby. Her hobbies, interests, attributes, etc. included. Crochet, reading, playing board games.

Beloved sister of Mildred (Tom ) Bressette, Theresa Ray, Edward Ray, Jr. and the late Mae C. Chrisikos, and the late Marie Zervais, also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.

In keeping with Mary Ann’s wishes, private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12182.

Mary Ann’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Eddy Village Green for their care, compassion and dedication for the last year.
