Carolyn L. "Cookie" Luse Obituary

Carolyn L. “Cookie” Orgovan Luse, 83, of Round Lake, beloved wife for 59 years to Stephen H. “Steve” Luse, peacefully entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 22, 2025.


 


Born in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Dorothy Colavita Orgovan and was a graduate of Mohonasen High School in Rotterdam.


 


Mrs. Luse had been employed at Tele Resources in Clifton Park, The Pines Home in Round Lake and also with the Village of Round Lake where she served as a Records Keeper/Clerk.


 


Carolyn loved floral gardening in her yard, travelling, photography, movies, reading, hiking, walking, yoga, shopping, jewelry, Broadway shows, animals, shopping and laughing. She was very generous and took great comfort and joy in taking care of the needy as well as neighborhood people and families. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Round Lake.


 


Beloved wife to Steve, devoted mother of Rose Young, Shirley Stevenson, John (Michelle) Stevenson, Elizabeth (“Roy” Rogelio Mariscal) Ferns, the late Stephen (wife, Karen) Mancini and the late Dorothy Stevenson, sister of the late Dana (wife, Louise) Orgovan, cherished grandmother to Crystal and Jacqueline, Crystal, Stephen and Vincent, R.J., John, II and Justin, adored great grandmother of Mason, Chase, Jacqueline, Ruby, Boston, Brody and Stephen and was eagerly anticipating the birth of her next great grandson this coming April, also survived by several nieces and nephews.


 


Relatives and friends are invited to join her family for Calling Hours on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. for her Funeral Service both at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3 Simpson Ave, Round Lake, NY 12151.


 


She will be laid to rest at Memory’s Garden in Colonie at a later date private at the convenience of the family.


 


The Luse family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Community Hospice and especially to Tammy Tyson, her loving neighbor and dear Hospice Nurse.

Funeral arrangements have be entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065
