Obituary of Nancy B. McCloskey

Nancy Spring McCloskey, died on December 30, 2025.

Born on June 7, 1937 in Lansingburgh to John and Anne Spring. At age 18, Nancy married Mike McCloskey, Jr. and moved to Brunswick.  In 1955 she graduated from Lansingburgh High School and went to work at Behr-Manning as a Secretary.

Nancy is survived by her daughters Marcy Molnar and Melanie Hickey, Grandsons Shawn (Miae) Hickey and Brandon (Evie) Hickey, Great Grandson Nathan Hickey, great granddaughters Luna Hickey and Heidi Hickey, brother Douglas (Barbara) Spring, God-Daughter Pam Thornton. She was predeceased by her son, Michael McCloskey, III and her sister  Lois Ambuhl (husband, Robert of Voorheesville).        

Nancy worked for Samaritan Hospital for 35 years as a Console Attendant. She worked for Diet Workshop also. She lived at R.O.U.S.E. Senior Complex and enjoyed interacting with other residents of Brunswick/Sycaway Seniors where she had served as President.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, relatives and friends are invited to the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, New York 12180 on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon. and to the Funeral Service there beginning at Noon.

Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.

Following the interment, the family asks that you join them at a luncheon reception in honor of Nancy and to continue celebrating her life at the Brunswick R.O.U.S.E. Community Center, 9 Country Way, Troy, NY 12180
