Obituary of Francisco Antonio Guzman, Jr.

Francisco Antonio Guzman, Jr., 55 of Troy, NY, was called home on March 22, 2026 in Albany Medical Center, where he lost his battle to Cancer

Born on February 21, 1971 in Bronx New York, Francisco “Tone” Guzman Jr. was preceded in death by Francisco Antonio Guzman Sr. (Father) and Luz Milagros Lorenzo (Mother). Francisco grew up and was raised on Popham Avenue in the Bronx and was a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School.

Tone took interest in videography, music production and photography. Francisco moved to Troy, New York in 1995 with his fiancé Carmen G. Guzman and her 4 children, who he took care of and supported as his own.

Francisco obtained work as a machinist for 10 years at RW Gate in Troy NY by day and was a photographer/choreographer and producer by night. Later to have his own brand “GuzFilmz”. Francisco stepped out of his comfort zone and enjoyed assisting and establishing relationships with local artists and assisting them to grow. Tone was a creative entrepreneur who was good at what he did and loved to share his skills with others. Francisco had a hand for building and creating things. He had immaculate patience and love for his family and friends like no other. Francisco had a way of lighting up a room and making others feel comfortable. 

Francisco Antonio Guzman Jr. is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carmen G. Guzman, daughter Sabrina Cardenales (LaNea), daughter Kashay Gonzalez (Aviana), daughter Ariel Gonzalez, daughter Tianna Morales (Angel, Sr.), son Francisco Antonio Guzman II, son Donte Guzman (Chloe) and 12 grandchildren.  

Siblings and nephews; eldest sister Maribel Guzman (daughter Leslie Marie Rivera), Brother Louis Manuel Colon (daughter Savannah Lee Colon, son Marcus Alvarez). 

Relatives and friends are invited to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Friday for Visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
