Bill it still doesn’t feel real that you’re gone. Over the last 13 years, you became so much more than just my father-in-law — you became family in every sense of the word, and I truly loved you like my own father.
I met you back in 2011 4 years after I started dating Joseph and in 2012 I became pregnant with your very first granddaughter from us . From the very beginning, you welcomed me with open arms. In 2013, you were there when we welcomed Madilynn Grace. and then again in 2018 when we had Evelynn Rose, you loved those girls with your whole heart. No matter the occasion — birthdays, holidays, or even “just because” — you always made sure your granddaughters felt special and loved.
But what always meant so much to me was that your kindness didn’t stop there. You also welcomed my two children from my previous relationship, Jeremy and Elizabeth, with gentleness, care, and love. You included them in special moments and treated them with kindness that they will always remember. That says so much about the kind of man you were.
One of the things I’ll always remember most about you were your stories. Some were so unbelievable, some made us laugh until we cried, but every single one came from a life fully lived. You had a way of bringing people together with your humor, your presence, and your heart.
Thank you for always being there for our family, for loving all of the children so deeply, and for all the memories you gave us. Your love and the impact you had on all of us will never be forgotten.
