Marc McBride, devoted husband, loving father, and dedicated educator, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, after a long and courageous health battle.

Marc was the beloved husband of Talin McBride and a proud, caring father to Ian and Christian McBride, who were the center of his world. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in supporting, guiding, and loving them every day.

For more than 25 years, Marc served as a social studies teacher at Ballston Spa Middle School, where he made a lasting impact on generations of students. Known for his passion for history, his steady presence, and his ability to connect with young people, Marc was deeply respected by colleagues, students, and families alike.

In addition to his work in the classroom, Marc dedicated many years to coaching football and basketball. He was more than a coach—he was a mentor who instilled discipline, teamwork, and confidence in the countless student-athletes he guided.

Marc also cherished time with his family, especially skiing together and coaching his boys in all their athletic endeavors from tee ball through college football. He enjoyed ’80s hard rock, was a devoted fan of Star Wars, and never passed up a chance for ice cream.

Marc will be remembered for his strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his family, his students, and his community. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the lessons he shared.

He was predeceased by his mother, Joanne McBride, and his father, Paul W. McBride.

He is survived by his wife, Talin; his sons, Ian and Christian McBride; his siblings, Paula Jo Gates (Rob) and Paul J. McBride; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Sossy Khachadourian; his brother-in-law, Vatche Khachadourian (Sharon); and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, New York 12065
