Obituary of Donna Ann (Lindgren) MacNary
MacNary, Donna Ann (Lindgren) 81, of Rensselaer (formerly of Troy), passed away peacefully at home May 14, 2026, in the loving care of her family.
Donna was born September 6,1944 in Myrtle Beach, SC, to Edith Lindgren and Stanley Lindgren. She was raised in Lansingburgh and was a 1962 graduate of Lansingburgh High School. Her summers were spent with family at the Methodist Farm, Crooked Lake for over five decades, where she and former husband Frank were known for their party-hosting talents. In her earlier years she was an avid archer, line dancer, league bowler at Hilltop Bowl and Alpha Lanes, and a crafter and artist. For many years she took pleasure in designing and painting Christmas scenes in the windows of Alpha Lanes.
Donna was a devoted wife and homemaker and also had a variety of roles outside of the home including stints in real estate and banking. She retired from a career at Verizon, and post-retirement was the owner of R Kids 2 Yours Children’s Consignment Shop. Her final role was office support for Chuck Ellett of Charles J. Ellett Insurance and Real Estate, retiring once again in 2020.
Donna was the loving mother of Kimberly (Richard) Bissonette of Pawleys Island, SC, Kevin (Julie) MacNary of Averill Park, NY, grandchildren Nikole (John Clow) MacNary, Dalton MacNary, Justin (Michaela) Bissonette, and Jacob Bissonette, and great-grandchildren Gavin MacNary and Madison Foley. She is the loving sister of Marilyn (Walter) Tague, Shirley (John) Hughes, aunt to Walter Tague, Brent (Sara) Tague, Nicole (late Alejandro) Reyes, Colleen (Patrick) Buff, Kenneth (Mary Beth) MacNary, and the late Christine (Walter) Whalen, and a number of cousins, great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Edith Lindgren and Stanley Lindgren, former husband Frank MacNary, mother-in-law Ruth MacNary and niece Christine(MacNary) Whalen.
There will be a Celebration of Life this summer at the Methodist Farm, with the date to be determined.
