Brandy Lynn Vandenburgh, 46, of Troy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July12, 2026
Born in Troy, NY, she is the daughter of Barbara J. Burns and the late Colin G. Vandenburgh and was educated in the Lansingburgh schools.
Brandy was a dedicated Home Healthcare Aide and had been employed by Public Partnership, LLC in Latham. She had also worked in various other locations as a chef preparing meals that people enjoyed.
Brandy Enjoyed life, always tried her best to have a good time whenever she could. Her contagious laugh and silliness making other people smile was something Brandy always did, if not for herself but for other people that she was around. Brandy’s favorite saying to everyone was “Oh Mylanta”, so when you heard that you knew she was around somewhere. She enjoyed spending time with Family and Friends hanging out in the yard with a beer in hand. Brandy was always in the garage or under a hood of car with her dad whenever she got a chance loving and learning about automobiles and most importantly the time, she spent with her dad.
Her hobbies, interests, skills, talents, etc. included. spending time putting puzzles together, building model cars, doing word search books
She was a Devoted member of The Lansingburgh Eagles Club #3773 and The Lansingburgh Veterans Club. She was also a member of Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the Pioneer gas engine association inc.
Devoted mother of Dwayne E. Vandenburgh and a Mema of Kaleb T. Vandenburgh, beloved daughter of Barbara J. Burns, loving sister of Michelle M. (Kenneth, Sr.) Domey, Kerry (Michael) Fitch, Walter Scott (Betty) Vandenburgh, Darin (Jessie)Vandenburgh and Jamie (Rob) Vandenburgh, also survived by Lifelong Best friends of Arek and Kelly and her godson Jared. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many Friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Calling Hours on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc, 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182
