Obituary of David R. Holdridge

David R. “Dave” Holdridge, Jr., 56, of Troy, beloved husband for 22 years to Beverly J. Williams Holdridge, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, he is the loving son of Margaret “Maggie” Guenette Jackson (Robert) and the late David R. Holdridge and was a graduate of Shaker High School.

Dave loved riding his Harley with friends and going on long rides, was an avid sports memorabilia collector, loved being outside fishing or sitting by the fire with friends and family, and inside the gazebo listening to music (mostly Jellyroll).

He was a member of the Sons of the Veterans of Lansingburgh.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife Beverly, mother Maggie Jackson (Robert), daughter Bryanna Holdridge (Amelia Calhoun), stepchildren Brandon Suscietto (Nicole) and Jeremy David (Charmaine), brother Christopher “Chris” Holdridge (Theresa), cherished grandchildren Kiera, Dominick and Ava Suscietto, adored Aunt Mary Rougia and Uncle Michael “Mike” Guenette (Antoinette), dear nephews Jordan and Zackary Holdridge, and also survived by his canine companion and his best buddy Gizmo, who he was inseparable with.

Relatives and friends are invited to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Ave (at the corner of 115 th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, for Calling Hours from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., where at 3:30 p.m. a Funeral Service will be held.

Dave’s family would also like to give special thanks to best friends Nicole Hassell, Chris Girard, and Caryn Foster for the long years of friendship, support, and good memories.
