Obituary of Shaun C. Fredette

Shaun C. Fredette, 62, of Speigletown, beloved husband for 29 years to Susan C. “Sue” Porter Fredette, of Speigletown, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Born in Troy, Shaun was educated at Keveny Academy in Cohoes.

Shaun was a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver and last employed by Gorman Brothers in Albany.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved camping.

His hobbies included watching war movies, reading and watching old TV shows.

Shaun had been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3773 in Lansingburgh as well as the Rod and Gun Club in Speigletown.

Beloved husband to Sue, devoted father of Samantha, Shaun, Erica, Katie, Dakota and Zachary, son of the late Patricia Fredette, son-in-law of Jane (late, Richard “Dick” ) Porter, grandfather to Luke, Dominic, Ayden, Mason, Layla, Violet and Charlie, brother of Janine, Jamie and Dana, brother-in-law to Dennis, also survived by two nieces Sara and Sabrina and their families.

In keeping with Shaun’s wishes there will not be any funeral services.

Shaun’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to The Eddy Heritage House Nursing Home, 3^rd Floor staff and to Community Hospice.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the Corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
