Milton Frayne “Miltz” West, 35, of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.

 

Born September 5th, 1990 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Frayne O. West and Charmaine Belcon (Ronald) Simpson. He was raised by his Aunt Torna O. West, with the help of his grandmother Beverly D. West.

 

Miltz was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, Class of 2009. He worked for Lansingburgh Boys and Girls club during his youth. He had pride in his time at VOTEC for culinary arts. He enjoyed the time he spent going to his workplace with Dr Pamela Kaw.

 

Miltz enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially loved laughing, making jokes and being a big foodie. He loved playing videogames as “OneHandGameMan”. He enjoyed games like Tekken, Gears of War and Halo etc). Miltz loved entertainment, watching movies, anime, TV dramas, along with his love for cooking and finding new recipes with his family, and dressing with style everywhere he went. Milton was a kind, easygoing person with a wonderful smile. He loved and cared for every person he met, always maintaining a happy uplifting spirit even during the hard times spent in the hospital.

 

Milton was a member and worshiped at Harvest Church in Clifton Park. Miltz loved Jesus and had great faith in God. He was a happy warrior. We thank Pastor Paulie, Nikki Tebanno and Pastor Carolyn for their  support and prayers for Milton. He met and garnered many loving and meaningful friendships throughout his time in fellowship.

 

Survivors include His Grandmother Beverly D. West, His Mother Charmaine Belcon (Ronald) Simpson, His Father Frayne O. West, His Aunt Torna O. West (Taitt), His Cousins Ashley, Whitney and Dean Taitt. His Brothers and Sisters Camelia, Janelle, Tiasha, Jahoviah, Keiara, Tyannah and others who are loved. Nieces and nephews, Extended Family and Beloved Friends.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 for Visitation from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. where the 1:00 P.M. the Funeral Service will be held.

 

Miltz's family would like to offer their most sincere gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses at Albany Medical NYOH and Westchester Medical for supporting and caring for Milton throughout his crisis.
