On July 31, 2026, during the reign of our esteemed King Charles, Ruler of Great Britain, Her Regency Jean Rita Wend-Boese left this earthly life.

Following her gracious and benevolent leadership, she is survived by her two sons: Michael, The Guardian of the Earth Realm, and Mark, the Handsome Defender of Bulwark. She instilled in them the virtues of integrity and truthfulness.

She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn, the youthful descendant of the De Julio-Charland-Kelly Clan.

Her Regency leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Her motto is, "Semper recta sum" 

JEAN R WEND BOESE

Jean R. Wend Boese, born February 23, 1935 of Halfmoon, formerly of Saint Petersburg, Florida, beloved wife of the late Charles “Charlie” Boese, left this earthly life at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Born in Rensselaer, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Wend and the late and Dolores Moxon Charland and was a graduate of Cathedral Academy in Albany.

Mrs. Boese retired from SUNY Albany.

Beloved mother of Michael D’Alessandro and Mark (Teresa) D’Alessandro, sister of Marilyn (late, Thomas) DeJulio and the late Bill (Loretta) Wend, sister of Sharon Greene, and sister Carol Hennessey, cherished grandmother to Justin (Vicky) D’Alessandro, Christopher D’Alessandro and Elisa (Nicholas) Forysinski, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. where at 1:30 p.m. the Funeral Service celebrating Jean’s life will begin.

Jean’s family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Saratoga County Hospice for their continued care.
