I knew Lynda from playing mah jongg at the various tournaments in the area and will miss playing with her. She was very good player and a lovely lady. People would ask if we were sisters and I would say Lynda is my "not sister" and we would laugh. Now that she is in heaven, I am certain she is calling MAH JONGG all the time. Bless her.

I worked with Lynda for several years as a co supervisor at St. Peter's Home Care. She was great to work with, and someone to "run things by" when struggling with solutions/decisions in the various issues that came to us in our roles. We were blessed to have a small group of retirees from Home Care who continued to meet periodically at the 76 Diner for lunch.Lynda truly loved her role as Nana and would proudly show off the most recent pictures of her grandchildren at these gatherings.I pray that in her last weeks she did not suffer, and wish her family comfort and loving memories to be cherished always.

Dear Family of Lynda Tierney,
I have known Lynda since 1996 when I came to St. Peter's Homecare and she was a supervisor. She always saw the bigger picture, she was fair, promoted nursing and homecare, and always recognized a job well done or that extra effort, even when others may have missed it.
What I remember most was her smile.. that would light up a room. The picture you choose captured her smile and spirit beautifully.
May your fond memories of Lynda bring you comfort and eventually allow you to smile, her smile, the one that brought so much joy to you, her family and everyone she met.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Tracy Callaghan

We are so sad to hear of Lynda’s passing. Our husbands golfed together for a long time. She was a delightful person. We moved to Florida but always had time to spend with them when we went north. It was a joy to see them, a happy and loving couple. Our sincere condolences to Bill and his family. 8

Dear Bill, S'ara, and Emily,
I was very sad to read in the paper of Lynda's passing. Most of my memories of Lynda come from when Emily and my Karolyn were much younger and we would car pool and collaborate on brownie and girl scout activities. Lynda was always such a nice person and involved parent. About 6 years ago we met up again at weight watchers for a few weeks. It was like 30 years had never passed. That's the kind of person Lynda was. You could just pick right up in conversation with her again. At that time, after sharing info on the girls, we spoke and exchanged book authors names that we liked. My point was this is the type of person Lynda was. You could just be transported back in time to the lovely person she was. Bill and the girls, you know what a special lady she was. I am sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Christine Sutphin

My deepest sympathies to Bill, S’ra, Emily and the rest of your family. I am so very lucky to have known Lynda. She was a mentor to me, and I will never forget that! I will cherish the Vermont Teddy Bear nurse she sent me, keeping in mind her love for her teddy bears.
Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

Dear Folks,
Lynda and I were colleagues in community health our whole careers and it was an honor to serve with her. Her spark and compassion for patients, staff and families was a role model for nursing students coming along. May she Rest In Peace and may your good memories sustain you during this sad time.
