Paul W. Ratigan, 62, of Clifton Park, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy Weaver Ratigan and was a graduate of Cohoes High School, Class of 1975. Paul was a loyal employee for 46 years with the Golub Corporation having been a Butcher and Meat Cutter at Price Chopper, lastly in Brunswick. He enjoyed spending time with his family, having barbecues, gardening, and being with his cats. Devoted father of Megan (Troy) Murray of Syracuse, who is survived by her mother Cynthia Ophof of Cohoes, brother of Thomas (Barbara) Ratigan of Columbia, SC; cherished grandfather of Ella Murray of Syracuse, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Paul’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all of our family, friends, and neighbors for all of their help, generosity, and thoughtfulness. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the ASPCA, in memory of Paul W. Ratigan.
