Obituary of David White

David White, 75, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 surrounded by his family at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born and educated in Jonesville, LA, he is the son of Rowena Williams White of Louisiana and the late Charlie White. David was a hard working man and always was keeping busy. He had worked on the Assembly Line at the Ford Motor Co. in Detroit, Michigan and had done some farm work as well as doing some house roofing. He enjoyed sports, watching wrestling and fixing cars. David enjoyed the past six months in Troy, New York and would always say to his daughter Angela, “You’re doing good baby!” In addition to his mother Rowena, David is survived by his daughter Angela L. White of Troy and her mom Mary N. Hill, both of Troy and of David White, Jr., grandfather of Michel’le White, Tatyana Gordon, Jamarious Jackson and Lyndasia White, siblings; Carolyn Turner, Wilbert White, Marvin Williams and Ellis Williams, Jr., also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He especially loved talking with Inell Bowden who he looked up to as being his second mother. A service Celebrating the Life of David White will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. along with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. that day both held at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th St. in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Inell Bowden for her love and support.
