Marilyn M. Hochberg, 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and close friends on January 28, 2017. Marilyn was born July 16, 1942, in Nassau, NY. She is predeceased by her loving spouse Anita M Brown, as well as her parents Oscar and Mildred Hochberg. She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Harry) Hall; brothers Arthur Hochberg and Joseph (Mary) Hochberg; niece Carolyn (John) Furr; nephew Christopher (Jessica) Hall; her beloved dog “Peanut” and many other nieces and nephews. Marilyn had a close circle of friends who loved and cherished her, whom she considered extended family. She worked as a bookkeeper for Norlite, LLC for 20 years and 15 years as a Finance Officer for BidNet until her retirement. Her colleagues will always remember Marilyn for her professionalism, loyalty, compassion and sense of humor. Marilyn was always impeccably dressed. She loved to shop, spend time on the beach and browse flea markets and craft fairs. She treasured time spent with friends, cooking on the grill and enjoying a glass of wine. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate caregivers and friends who provided great comfort to her through her illness. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 4 to 7 followed by a prayer service at 7 pm at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park on Thursday, February 2nd, 2017. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn’s name may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering, or the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
