I knew Joe at Mental Hygiene in the 70’s. Great guy. He was nuts for you Lucy, you were so pretty and you could see he loved you early on. God rest his soul and may you have peace and consolation.

Lucy, I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. He was such a good man through and through. Knowing him mostly from softball, I always remember his patience with all of us. He even brought us to a championship. I loved him for his love of animals too. He was a great guy and even though I haven’t seen you often, when I did, it was such a treat. Please know you and Joe will always be in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️

Lucy, I enjoyed Joe from the first time we met. I could tell that he had such a kind spirit to him, he really reminded me of my father-in-law.
Larkin took an instant liking to him, animals can always
pick out a good person.
I am happy that he was able to spend his last years
loving you and Larkin.
My condolences to you and your family.
Love,
Mary Lou

Dearest Lucy- I am so sorry for your loss of Joe, I know what he meant to you and you to him. A rare marrigage where the love lasted a lifetime..two very lucky people to have found each other. Joe was just the sweetest guy, always greeting me with a kiss and a twinkle in his eye. Then he would be there with his calm presence and sometimes a comment that would sum up everything. I will miss him very much when we visit...

Dear Lucy,
We were saddened to see Joe's obituary in the newspaper. He always held a bright spot in my heart and was a joy to work with. Ed and I used to see Joe at St. Edward's Church and occasionally, I would run into him in the grocery store. Joe always had a great smile and a warm welcome when we ran into him. We have missed seeing him in recent years. We would like to express our condolences for your loss. Joe was a special guy. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We will miss one of the sweetest men God ever graced this earth. It was, indeed, a privilege knowing and loving Joe. And so, with heavy hearts, we thank you Joe for being a part of our lives, for always being you, for reminding us that kindness matters and gentleness still exists. We will love you always.

Lucy and family:
So sorry to read of Joe’s passing. I worked with Joe for many years at OMRDD. He was a wonderful guy and an exemplary worker. When asked, Joe would always share his abundance of common sense with our coworkers....a true friend to all!

Dear Lucy and Family - I am so very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I can still see him walking the halls of Office of Mental Health with his budget pad and pencil. He always had a wonderful demeanor and was so in love with you, Lucy, God speed, friend. Once I “galllup” up to heaven, I will be looking for you.
