Please share a memory of Dr. Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dr. Wilming, Christopher Ryan

Christopher Ryan Wilming, 34, of Salt Lake City, UT, died unexpectedly, on Tuesday, April 6th.

He was born in Niskayuna, NY on April 27th, 1986 to David and Rosemary Wilming.

Chris was a Clinical Pharmacist at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Chris received his BA in Psychology from SUNY Albany in 2008 and went on to graduate Cum Laude from Albany College of Pharmacy in 2016, with his Doctorate in Pharm.D, was a Board-Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP).

After graduating from ACPHS in 2016, he completed a PGY-1 at the Portland VA Medical Center, and then completed a PGY-2 residency in Psychiatry at the Salt Lake VA. From there he pursued a career in clinical pharmacy and was only beginning to realize his full potential.

Chris had a deep passion and commitment to his work, science, and medicine.

He loved to challenge himself.  He enjoyed back packing across Europe after college, Sky Diving, just recently was learning to ski.  Chris loved hiking and was always planning his next trip with his friends in the mountains of Utah.

He was a kind, sensitive, passionate, and caring friend to everyone and his radiant bright smile and sense of humor was contagious to everyone around him.

Christopher is survived by his beloved mother Rosemary Evans, his father, David Wilming, his brothers, Michael & Matthew Wilming, his sister Cassandra Wilming, and his grandmother Florence Wilming, all from Clifton Park, NY.

Christopher’s life and loving spirit will be celebrated at a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church located at 569 Clifton Park Center Rd Clifton Park on Friday, April 16th.

Christopher finally, is at rest, and we hold him close within us in our hearts, mind, and spirit. Remember the meaning of this tragedy. If a young man or woman says maybe I’ll kill myself, tell someone. Don’t leave him or her alone. It is not a game; it’s a symptom. And let us find and encourage within ourselves, within our society, those gifts that make each of us special: not star power, not intellectual prowess, but the ineffable mystery and extraordinary beauty of the simple human heart.

In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree.
