Obituary of Darren Andrew Moore

Darren Andrew Moore, 35, of Linden Ct. passed away on Sunday June 13, 2021.  He was born in Niskayuna, NY on Nov. 25, 1985 and was the son of Deborah Williams Moore of Clifton Park, NY and Lyndon H. (Elizabeth) Moore, II of Waynesboro, VA.  He was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, class of 2004 and attended HVCC school of Broadcasting and communication.  He was a Marine Corps veteran having served honorably from 2008 – 2013.  He served in the Persian Gulf and in Afghanistan.  Darren was the beloved husband of Melissa Tina Velez Moore and the devoted father of Cayla J. and Leah A. Moore.  He is the brother of Lyndon H. Moore, III of Beavertown, OR; son-in-law of Jaime and Milagros Velez of Halfmoon, NY.

Darren  was an IT Analyst for the Met Life Co. in N. Greenbush and was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers.  His greatest time was spent with family and playing all kind of games with his girls.

Funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment with full military honors will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
