Obituary of Marjorie J. LaValley

Marjorie J. “Marge” LaValley, 89, formerly of Lansingburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday, August 5, 2021.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Elizabeth Bessie Flynn LeQue and the beloved wife of the late Frank P. Campbell and Donald A. “Ducky” LaValley and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Class of 1950.

Marge retired in 1991 from the Watervliet Arsenal where she had been employed for 17 years.

She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh.

Devoted mother of Michelle A. (Charles) Rafferty of Saratoga Springs, and stepmother of Sheila Campbell of Troy, Michael Campbell of Norwich, CT and Mark (Linda) Campbell of Kissimmee, FL, sister of Helen Iler of Schenectady and Lois Williams of Troy, cherished grandmother of Justin (Laura) Rafferty of Charlton and Monique Rafferty of Stamford, CT, adored great grandmother of Jack Rafferty

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, Lansingburgh.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, New York 12182.

Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
