Charles Lee Drewe

January 30, 1949- July 25, 2021

Charles Lee Drewe succumbed July 25, 2021 in Schaghticoke (Troy), NY. He was 72.

Born on January 30, 1949 to proud parents James and Isabell Drew (both deceased) in Amelia, VA, he was a graduate of Russell Grove High in Amelia, VA, Class of 1967 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Matthews of PA and Carla Forster of Wichita Falls, TX as well as 2 grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife and friend Yvonne Farmer-Drewe, three sisters Sarah and Tommie (deceased) Pryor of Albany, NY, Bessie Drewe-Sims and James Sims both of Middletown NY and Glennis Drew-Young and Alan Young, both of Albany NY. He was predeceased by his sister, Ella M. McGill and was the Father figure to Lynn, Bo, Yolanda, and Doris. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in New York and Virginia. The “Meeks” -  Edward, Aldrew, and Donald.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, New York 12182.

Interment with military honors will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at 12 Noon that same day.
