Clifton Park – James “Jim” C. Murray, 64, died on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Albany, he is the son of Marge Fink and the late James C. Murray, Sr. Jim proudly served our country during the Vietnam War in The United States Army. He was employed for many years as a fork lift operator for U.S.G. Building Specialties, before his retirement. Jim loved to spend his time in the outdoors, especially hunting with his son Chris and skiing with his daughter Laura. Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda D. Murray in 2004. He is survived by his mother, Marge Fink; his children, J. Christopher (Stephanie) Murray and Laura Murray; his brother, Gary Murray; his mother-in-law, Frances Maurel; his grandson; Nathan Murray and his granddaughter, Kathryn Murray who was born on Saturday and Jim was able to meet. Funeral services for Jim will be held on Thursday February 16th at 9:30 a.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9 Clifton Park. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday prior to the service from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, where Jim will be laid to rest with full military honors.
