James A. Shinners, 81 died on Saturday Oct. 16, 2021 after a brief illness. 

He was born on June 27, 1940 in Whitehall, NY and was the son of the late John and Pauline Manny Shinners.  James was a graduate of  Burnt Hill/Ballston Lake High School and Fordham University College of Business Administration.  He was also admitted to the Degree of Master of Education in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 

Jim was employed in the New York State Department of Education, The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, and in the Unified Court System of New York State for a total of thirty years.

He was predeceased by his devoted wife of 43 years, Marilyn Cary Shinners.  He is the devoted father of Mary Shinners (Joseph S.) King of Tampa, FL; brother of the late John Shinners.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall, NY on Thursday.
