Carolyn J. Lees (Lowery) passed away quietly on date February 27, 2017 at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home. Born in Washington, Indiana in 1928 to Carl and Savanah James, Carolyn married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life Edgar right after World War Two ended. Together they started a family, coming to the Capital District in 1972. She worked in the banking industry, and was active at Amity Reformed Church in Vischer Ferry. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling with her husband. She has been a long term resident of Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home since her stroke, where she was known for her beautiful blue eyes and her engaging smile. Her family wishes to thank the staff there for her excellent care. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband Edgar and her eldest daughter Cynthia (Lees) Dealy. She is survived by her son Gregory (Judy) Lees, her daughter Shelane (Deno S.) Gualtieri, five grandsons and nine great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home 1550 Route 9 Clifton Park on Friday March 3, 2007 from 12 Noon to 1 PM. A funeral service will follow at Funeral 1 :00 p.m. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
