Obituary of James A. Haviland
James A. “Jim” Haviland, 75 of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
Born and educated in Pawling, New York, he was the son of Harold C. and Gertrude Brown Haviland.
Jim was employed at Northeast Career Planning in Menands including holding a position in maintenance with the United States Postal Service in Albany.
He was an avid coffee drinker, loved going to the movies, Cookie Factory cookies, animals, dogs and cats.
Loving brother of Nora A. (late, Raymond L.) Coalts and the late Harold C. (late, Patricia) Haviland, Jr., dear uncle of Lynn (Steve) Sherman, Raymond (Connie) Coalts, Gordon (Lauren Hanna) Coalts, Brenda Havilland, Warren Haviland, Diane Haviland and LeeAnn Haviland, also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and to the service of remembrance beginning at 7:00 p.m. that evening all in the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Ave (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
Burial will be held on Monday morning, March 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Cemetery, Lansingburgh.
Jim’s family wishes to offer their most sincere thanks the ARC staff for their great and loving care over the years provided.
