Obituary of Martha A. Bridgewater

Martha A. Bridgewater, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. 

She was born in Troy, N.Y. on February 7, 1948, the daughter of the late Edmond Andrew Pascucci and Rita Margaret Niles Pascucci.  She lived in Troy and resided in Sycaway for her entire life.  She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1965, and received her AAS from Hudson Valley Community College in paralegal studies. 

She was employed by Verizon for many years until her retirement in 2011. 

She enjoyed camping, cruising, and traveling with her husband Bill.  She loved quilting, sewing, and shopping.  She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.  Her grandchildren, with whom she wanted to spend most of her time, were her world. 

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, William E. Bridgewater; mother of John (Erinne) Flanigan of Averill Park and Bryon (Beth) of Troy; grandmother of Morgan, Conor and Declan; great grandmother of Peyton; sister of Jack Weaver, James Pascucci, Edmond (Mary Rita) Pascucci, Nicholas (Karen) Pascucci, Mary (Walter Schouler) Pascucci, Rita Madigan and John (Anne) Pascucci.  She is so survived by several cousins, including Rita (Paul) Rohr and Mary Caroline (Jack) Maxwell, and by several nieces and nephews.  Martha was predeceased by her sister, Anne Weaver of Troy, and cousins, Rev. William Bauer and Anne Dowling.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 North Lake Ave, Troy, NY 12180

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12182.

Interment will be held in St. John’s Cemetery in Schaghticoke on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
