Renee M. Panarese, 70, of Sheldon Hills died suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, at Ellis Hospital after being stricken at her home.  She was born on Sept. 30, 1951, in Racine, WI, and was the daughter of the late Fred and Shirley Clauer Kraus.  She was a graduate of Elgin High School in Elgin, IL. She received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from St Francis University in, Chicago, IL.


 


Renee was the beloved wife of Michael A. Panarese whom she married on Oct. 8, 1976.  She had been a Case Manager at Ellis Hospital for over 14 years. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed the game of golf, playing Mahjong with her friends, traveling, and spending time at their home in The Villages, Florida.  Renee loved spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.


 


In addition to her beloved husband Michael, she is the mother of Jennifer R. (Tom) Favitta and stepmother of Christopher M. (Laura) Panarese and Lisa M. (Andy) Strain; sister of Ron (Jeanette) Kraus; grandmother of Callen and Alexandra Favitta, Samantha and Johnathan Panarese and Patrick and Olivia Strain; also survived by several nieces and nephews.


 


Calling hours will be from 2-5 pm Sunday, Sept 18, in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.


 


The Funeral will be held on Monday, Sept 19, at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4 Northcrest Dr. Clifton Park, NY 12065,


 


The Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville, NY. There will be a reception following the Interment at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4 Northcrest Dr. Clifton Park, NY 12065,


 


In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels for Towers Organization in Renee’s name.
