We, the children of Ed & Kate Duncan, would like to extend our sympathy to the family…while at St Joseph’s Parish in Rensselaer, Fr Jim became a very good friend to our family and frequent visitor to our Defreestville home…Ed was very involved in parish bazaars and bingos…while Kate continued to launder altar linens to help out when Father established St Bonaventure…He married Patti & Mark nearly 50yrs ago and celebrated the funerals of our parents and brother Joseph…we were privileged to have known him…

Father O’Neill was a very important member of our family. He watched us all grow up to be the adults we are today and there for all our heartaches. He will be missed. He is now at peace and with the Lord! Rest in Peace

The good lord has called home of of his most faithful and loving servants. Fr. O'Neill holds a special place in our hearts as he married Debbie and I at St. Bonaventure's 40 years ago. I especially enjoyed our evenings together at the St. Bonaventure's Mens Club meetings. He could always be found joining us at a poker game, sharing a beverage and enjoying one of the many social events held at St. Bonaventure's. We will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace Fr. O'Neill, and put in a good word with God for the rest of us.

Eileen and family, just a note to express my sympathy on the passing of Father Jim. I have some nice memories of him at Cathedral and then at St. Patrick’s (Albany) and years at St. Bonaventure’s. Last met up with him last summer at Mass at St. Bonnie’s. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all the O’Neill family.
