Obituary of David J. Czarnecki

David J. Czarnecki (“Czar”), 64, of Holly Court in Ballston Lake died unexpectedly on Tuesday March 28, 2023.  He was born in Schenectady, NY on May 22, 1958 and was the son of the late Zdzislaw “Frank” and Estelle Pajak Czarnecki.  David was a graduate of St. John Fisher College in New York where he received his bachelor’s degree.  He was the proud owner of Poor Richard’s Saratoga Journal in Saratoga Springs for a number of years and enjoyed pranking his friends with the annual April Fools issue of his newspaper. He had a love for sports and live music, which he passed down to his son. Dave loved to laugh and treasured time spent with friends at the lake. 

He is the father of Ryan D. Czarnecki of Ballston Lake, NY;  brother of Dr. Michael Czarnecki (Jonas Queen) and sister Michele Howe (George); uncle of Zackary Howe; his partner of more than 10 years, Peggy O’Day;  and the former spouse of  Beth Locatelli, mother to Ryan.
