Obituary of Kelly Marie Szesnat

Kelly Marie Szesnat, 44, of Rt. 67 passed away on Sunday April 2, 2023 at the Samaritan Hospital after being stricken at home. She was born on Nov. 14, 1978 in Albany and was the daughter of Kenneth J. Szesnat, Sr. and the late Linda Peterson Kolpacki. She was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School and had earned some college credits. She loved doing home health care for families. She enjoyed drawing and was very artistic.  She was a very caring person and involved in her community. But most of all, Kelly loved all of the time spent with her daughter Kristina, “Frissle”.

In addition to her father, Kelly is the beloved mother of Kristina M. “Frissle” Neaton; she also leaves behind her siblings, Allison Szesnat, Kenneth Szesnat, Jr. (Lauren), Jacqueline Szesnat and her many adopted siblings, April Abate and others. She is the longtime companion of Gerald Potter of Johnsonville and the former wife of Michael Neaton; Kelly is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends along with her beloved Chihuahua, “Jack”.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday from 2-4 pm in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, New York  12065.
