Obituary of Miguel A. Hiraldo, Sr.

Miguel A. “Mike/Pito” Hiraldo, Sr., 64, of Troy, husband of Nancy Delvalle Hiraldo, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital.

 

He was born to Carmen Maria Hiraldo in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico and was educated in the Bronx.

 

Mike enjoyed playing the congas, salsa dancing, Kung-Fu movies, vacationing, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, watching sports, going to Bomber’s in Albany with his daughter and the times that he played in a band.

 

Husband of Nancy, devoted father of Jason Delvalle, Amy Delvalle (the late Angel Irizarry), Kasandra Hiraldo (Heno Santana, Jr.) and Miguel A. “Mikey” Hiraldo, Jr., brother of Jose Calderon and Raymond Soto, cherished grandfather affectionately called “Papa” to Janiah and Janajah Delvalle, Aleysia, Aniylah and Angel Irizarry, Jr.  and Kayana, Kylani and Heno “Nono” Santana, III, also survived by his canine companion Duke and several other family members.

 

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.

 

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Joseph’s House & Shelter, 74 Ferry St., Troy, NY 12180, in memory of Miguel A. Hiraldo, Sr.
