Obituary of Gloria Palladino
Gloria B. Palladino, on her 98th Birthday, formerly of Lansingburgh and Latham, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. At the time of her death, Gloria was a resident of the NYS Veterans’ Home, Oxford, NY.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Sarah Burns Burke and the beloved wife of the late Alphonse A. Palladino.
Mrs. Palladino was a Cashier for DAKA Food Service at RPI in Troy and retired in 1987.
During the 1940's -50's she was a long distance telephone operator at the NY Telephone Co. Traffic Dept. Office in Troy.
She had been a member of St. Augustine's School Mother's Club and a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh and later a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. She was also a member of the CCHS Alumnae Assn.
Devoted mother of Dolores (Edward) Gilbert of Morris, NY, John M. Palladino of South Dakota and David B. Palladino (Larry Zemanek) of Miami, FL, sister of the late Helen McHugh and Nan Secci, grandmother of Michael (Natalie) Foote, Timothy (Caitlyn) Foote, Jared and Jessye Palladino, great grandmother of Jacob, Charlie, Azalea and Taylyn Foote, sister-in-law of Carme (Irv) Rustin, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Church that morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NYS Veterans’ Home, Resident’s Recreation Program, 4027 State Highway 220, Oxford, NY 13830-4305, in memory of Gloria B. Palladino.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th St. in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
