Obituary of Lillian A. Pizzarelli

Lillian A. Pizzarelli, 98, of the Baptist Retirement Center in Scotia and former Clifton Park, NY resident and Florida passed away on Wednesday August 30, 2023 at her residence after a long illness.  She was born in NY, NY on July 17, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Francis and Matia Grasso Ardezzone.  She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Pizzarelli who died in 1971.  In her early years, Lillian had been a bookkeeper for the Amityville Record in Amityville, NY.  She enjoyed being with people and socializing.

 

She is the devoted mother of Lillian Pizzarelli (Linda Schultz), Santa Orlando, Toni Ann Pizzarelli, Martha Kipybida (the late Henry) and Anita Pritcher (Charlie); sister of the late Agnes, Charles, Sam, Sal, John and   Tony Ardezzone; cherished grandmother of Harry Hladun, Christina Bedford, Lisa Stengel, Kevin Orlando, Charlene Pritcher and the late Jason Capriola, Derek Hladun and Jonathan Hladun; great grandmother of Leah Bedford and Derek Chase Hladun;  also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 9:00 am at St. Mary’s Church Crescent, Church Hill Road, Waterford, NY 12188.

 

Calling hours will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday following the mass in James Funeral Home, 540 Broadway, Massapequa, NY 11758.

 

Interment Thursday Sept. 7th at 10:00 am in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY.  Those planning on attending please gather at the main office area through East Gate 3 for  9:45 am.
