Indira Gadangi, 83, of Loudonville started her crossing over journey on Thursday Oct. 5, 2023 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after an illness.  She was born on Nov. 10, 1939 in Warangal, India and was the daughter of the late Chandramowli and Rambai Rama.  She was educated in India.   Indira was the beloved wife of Balakrishna Gadangi.  She and her husband came to the United States in 1987.  She proudly received her US citizenship in 2008. She was a member of the Albany Hindu Temple. 

She is the beloved wife of Balakrishna who survives; the devoted mother of Vasantha Battu, MD (Kalyana, MD), Pratap Kumar Gadangi, MD (Neena MD), Ashok Kumar Gadangi, (Sharmi Pillarisetti) and Sabitha Vasireddy, MD (Venugopal Kiran Vasireddy, MD); dear grandmother of Subha (Mark), Bharat (Audrey), Swathi, Divya, Prateek (Jenny) and Puneeth; dear great grandmother of Basil, Sage, Arlo, Ava, Sonia and Griffith; sister of Kalidas Rama (Lalitha), Bhavani Gadangi (Babu Rao, MD), MadhuravaniMiriyala (Chakrapani) and Vijaya Rama; Also survived by several dear nieces and nephews.

The Hindu Ritual was held on Friday Oct. 6, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
