Obituary of Dimitria Tsakanikas

Dimitria “Micche” Tsakanikas, 60, of Clifton Park, beloved companion for 24 years of “Giuseppe “Joe” Androne, unexpectedly entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, NY.

Born in Kingston, NY, she is the daughter of Angelina DiPeri Tsakanikas Briggs and the late Dimitrios Tsakanikas and was a graduate of Niskayuna High School and the University of Florida.

She was the proud owner and operator of Dimitria’s Perfect Painting in Clifton Park.

Dimitria was an avid volleyball player, loved to crochet, fishing, hiking, gardening, cooking, baking, please people and was a woman of strong faith in God.

In addition to being survived by the love of her life Giuseppe “Joe” Androne and her devoted mother Angelina DiPeri Tsakanikas Briggs, she loved Joe’s two daughters Graziella Androne and Laura Rusinovich-Galick as her own children, dear siblings; Elaine Brush, Angela Tsakanikas, Annemarie Tsakanikas and John Tsakanikas, Laura’s daughter Harley Galick, also Aunt Geraldine Piscatelli and several nieces and nephews and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 and to the Funeral Service that day at 6:30 p.m. all in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
