Obituary of Elizabeth J. Thackeray

ELIZABETH J. JAKEMAN THACKERAY

Elizabeth J. Jakeman Thackeray, 65, of Rexford, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Born in Goshen, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alan F. and Che Tewksbury Jakeman. Elizabeth was a graduate of Shenedehowa High School and received her MA in Business Administration from the University at Arizona.

Elizabeth was a Business Administration Consultant for the New York State Department of Transportation in Albany. She had previously been employed as a Consultant for the New York State Department of Health in Albany.

She loved the work that she did, as well as her family. Her hobbies and interests included playing flute, reading, and sewing.

Beloved mother of Virginia Thackeray (Sungho Park), Rachel Thackeray (David Mobley), and Patrick Thackeray, sister of Kenn Jakeman, Shelley Wojtaszczyk, Patty Robinson, Allison Nicklas, Barbara Casper, and Lyn Jakeman, grandmother of Ian Park, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, there will not be any public funeral services.

Elizabeth’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to those who have kept us in their thoughts during this difficult time.
