Obituary of William Ward Pennock, III

William Ward Pennock  III, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 in his home.  Bill was originally from Albany, NY and Graduated from Albany High School in 1959.  You might recognize him from the 1950’s doing the jitterbug with his sister Marge at the St. James Canteen in Albany every weekend! He attended Hudson Valley Community College then spent the next 35 years working for Otis Elevator Company as well as a huge supporter of the Local Union 35, acted as treasurer.  He was an active member of the Elks Club in Guilderland, NY and is currently a member of the Eagles Club in Florida.  Besides enjoying his family, he was a stellar dart player, enjoyed nice cars and loved golf with his buddies in Holiday Florida where he spent the last 20 years.

Bill is predeceased by his wife Francis Wheeler Pennock (1967) and wife Phyllis Keyser Pennock (1974), sisters Marjorie Lennon (Richard), and Jane Caswell (Raymond, deceased).

He is survived by his life partner, Linda Hagadorn, sister Linda Pennock Rochefort, daughters Christine Ladu, Joanne Ostrowski (James), Mary Lynn Arbour (David), Theresa Scott (David), and Maureen Hearn (Sean); and a son William Pennock (Susan) as well as 15 grandchildren (Erica Ladu, deceased)

A memorial mass for family will be held at Christ the King Church in Guilderland, on Saturday June 3rd, 2017  at 8:30  am,  Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, NY.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to your local hospice.
